Finally got this for my son who loves construction vehicles. The rack and pinion steering actually works, which is way more satisfying than I expected.

The differential and worm gears are a real step up from simpler sets we've had, and the crusher model actually moves when you roll it. We've rebuilt three of the ten designs so far and each one holds together better than I expected.

My son spent a whole afternoon building the compactor, and he was so proud when the wheels actually rolled. Over 200 pieces means we can try all nine models—keeps him busy for hours.
