My 7-year-old was so focused on assembling the little paper petals, and the final poppy looked amazing sitting on her desk. It’s the perfect mix of fun and a bit of a challenge.

My 7-year-old spent almost an hour on the paper petals without getting bored, which never happens. The cutting and folding parts are fiddly enough to teach precision but still doable for small hands. Now the poppies sit on her desk and she's already asking for more.

The little paper poppies ended up looking way better than I expected, and my son actually sat still for almost an hour cutting and shaping them. The precision work kept him focused without me hovering, which never happens. Now they're lined up on his desk and he's already asking for the next one.
